1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Task Assistant ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Task Assistant is an AI-powered life management application that helps users organize their goals, habits, and daily tasks using behavioral science frameworks. The Service includes features such as:

  • Life area management and Wheel of Life visualization
  • Goal setting with WOOP methodology
  • Habit tracking with Tiny Habits framework
  • AI coaching powered by third-party language models
  • Daily planning and evening review workflows
  • Integration with third-party services (Gmail, Telegram, ClickUp)

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must:

  • Create an account with accurate information
  • Be at least 16 years of age
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Subscription Plans

4.1 Free Plan

The Free plan provides limited access to the Service, including a capped number of life areas, goals, and habits.

4.2 Pro Plan

The Pro plan ($15/month) provides unlimited access to all features. Pro subscriptions include a 7-day free trial for first-time subscribers.

4.3 Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • No refunds are provided for partial billing periods
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you create within the Service (goals, habits, tasks, notes, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

6. AI Features

The AI coaching features are provided for informational and motivational purposes only. The AI is not a substitute for professional advice (medical, psychological, financial, or otherwise).

  • AI responses are generated by third-party language models and may not always be accurate
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of AI-generated content
  • You should exercise your own judgment when acting on AI suggestions

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Upload malicious content or attempt to exploit vulnerabilities
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
  • Use automated tools to scrape or access the Service

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, branding, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Task Assistant. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written consent.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services including Gmail, Telegram, ClickUp, Stripe, and AI providers. Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective third party's terms of service. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TASK ASSISTANT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

12. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page. Upon deletion, all your data will be permanently removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
